About the Designer
Welcome to Designs by Dara where I bring forth years of experience in curating luxury and comfort on a tight budget.
Design for me began as an enjoyable hobby turned "help-my-friends" design their homes... I absolutely thrive on sourcing high-end products at the lowest cost (by thrifting, researching, consigning, and all the ways) to achieve gorgeous results! Prior & post completion of coursework in Interior Design at Saddleback college, I've enjoyed transforming an array of interiors.
The scope of my most challenging project in 2004 called for redesign of an entire home to 1930's french art deco. What a fun time it was visiting every thrift shop in West Hollywood to transform this luxurious Laguna Beach property!

You may wish to DIY your home and simply need a bit of guidance and direction. I also offer a 1 hour, flat rate, in-home consult which includes advice on how to use existing decor, recommendations for redesign, color palette suggestions, and more (to do it yourself / aka DIY).
